'Knowledge is knowing the tomato is a fruit, wisdom is not putting in your
fruit salad."
Wisdom is acquired by time and experiences in life. Common sense is a form of
wisdom. You learn as you live kind of thing. Though knowledge and Wisdom are
not same, still they both
go side by side. To understand it in simple way please take knowledge as sword and wisdom as an art of using sword. Knowledge is like a tool kit you need to make do or repair something and wisdom is how to use the tool kit so that you may get best out of your tool kit of knowledge. If you have just the art of making some product but you don't have the tools than your art is of no use. Education makes people easy to lead, but difficult to drive; easy to govern but impossible to enslave. So if knowledge is power then wisdom is how to use that power. Knowledge is about what is or was. Wisdom is about what is going to happen, or at least knowing why something happened one way instead of another.

Most students in life treat knowledge as a liquid to be swallowed rather than
as a solid to be chewed, and then wonder why it provides so little nourishment.
You may say you have knowledge of the future, but really you have knowledge
about clues to the future, and the wisdom to interpret what it actually means.
Not exactly. Knowledge can be gained by almost anyone by simply learning facts
through study or experience. Like learning the multiplication tables. The truth
is knowledge can be swallowed by any one unlike wisdom that has to be chewed to
digestion. That's why it takes years to accumulate wisdom. And those who
acquire at a tender age tend to become prodigy and a legend on the spiritual
plane.
Only wisdom speaks more to problem solving or decision making. Learning
how to talk is knowledge, knowing when to keep your mouth shut is wisdom!
Knowledge is not the same as wisdom. The two are not the same for they do not
always accompany one another. A man may have a great deal of knowledge and not
a great deal of wisdom. And that is, I think, most evident in some of the
common types of illustrations that we could think of. For example an uneducated
man may often be superior to an educated man or a scholar in wisdom, though he
may fall far behind in knowledge.
Knowledge is something that we learn through
the schools. Wisdom is something that we have by virtue of experience; by the
application of the knowledge that we learn. Knowledge is something that we
store up in our minds, in which we may possess without any real application of
it, but wisdom is very practical; it is the application of knowledge to
specific situations so that a man becomes wise through the application of
knowledge to particular situations thus out of his experience he becomes wise.
Many men have a great deal of education but manifest very little common sense
in them. We often say that he or she is educated beyond his intelligence; and
we know exactly what that means. Well, there are people like that who are
educated far beyond their intelligence. They have been in school and they have their
degrees, but they do not have the practical understanding that ought to go with
it.
Knowledge might be easily understood as acquired facts that are valid, reliable
and quantifiable, while wisdom might best be understood as the appropriate
application of acquiring knowledge so as to produce results that are beneficial
to all. Knowledge can be achieved, wisdom comes from within. A person having
less knowledge can win the situation with his wisdom.
Wisdom is a weightless treasure you always carry with ease. Colors fade,
temples crumble, empires fall, but wisdom endures.
At the outset, while baring
our soul, we should ponder which of the two, acquiring knowledge and using with
or without wisdom is important. On the Day of Judgment, we shall not be asked what
we have read, but what we have done wisely, knowing very well that wisdom is
the sweet to our soul!
