Transform your dreams now by contemplating with action and knowledge!

"By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in good hands — your own." ~ Mark Victor Hansen

"Give yourself an even greater challenge than the one you are trying to master and you will develop the powers necessary to overcome the original difficulty." ~ William J. Bennett

'Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it! Boldness has genius, magic, and power in it.'" ~ Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

“Man, since his early existence on this planet, has been

in the quest of knowledge continuously. It was on account of his curiosity and desire to acquire knowledge of facts that civilization has developed to its modern stage. Man had been living just like other animals, roaming in the forest, hunting for good, searching the caves for shelter, almost naked, in the early stage of his evolution.

His quest of knowledge has helped him to create fire, develop agriculture and grow food, construct beautiful houses for shelter, weave good cloths to wear, and play on instruments of music for recreation. Thus man who was once afraid and worshiped the elements of nature like fire, water, earth, air and space has now brought these elements under his control. He has advanced so much in knowledge that he is able to produce whatever he wants, go wherever he likes and turn forces of nature to his advantage.

Knowledge is awareness of knowing about what, why, when, where and how of anything. It is power. Power is of two kinds: one physical and the other intellectual. The physical power includes strength and skill to do things, to perform acts and to produce goods. The intellectual power include – recall, recognition, retention, reasoning, imagination, curiosity and so on.
It therefore in the broader sense means intellectual as well as physical powers. Literally it means to see, listen, understand, desire, plan, work and achieve. So knowledge helps an individual not only to desire but also to achieved what he desires. It literally sharpens the mind and intelligence, which in turn improves farther quest and desire for adventure and investigation. Man has already known the different corners of the world. He has started stepping on other planets. He has gone and come back from the moon. He is now exploring the other planets. All this is possible because of his knowledge. Hence if dreams and desire are to be crystallized it is possible only through knowledge.

Mostly man gains knowledge through observation and experimentation: At first man starts with certain hypothesis or theory and sometimes even without any premeditation, prerequisite or predetermination. In other words, he embarks upon a project just at random and the results are startlingly positive or negative.

Knowledge plays a significant role in raising the standard of living. Knowledge makes one’s life powerful, cheerful, self-confident, vibrant and self-reliant. It trains our mental level and guides us to reach our preconceived goal.

Knowledge gave man the feeling of strength and power. Knowledge develops human faculties. It leads to the excellence of the mind. It enables one to give sound judgment. There is no end to the gaining of knowledge; It is only the foolish man who thinks he knows everything. Modern knowledge is very intricate and wide is scope.

Goethe was the greatest thinkers of the Nineteenth Century. He knew life steadily and knew it whole. We find in this opinion of his a profound understanding of life. What did Goethe mean by saying 'Life is action and not contemplation'? Evidently, he meant that too much attention to thought would make us forget the very fundamental law of human life, which is action. Men must act in their lives fully well, and to realize all that is to put their dreams into action. Another German thinker Fichte said, "Life was not given for indolent contemplation and study of self, nor the brooding over emotions of piety: action and actions only determine the worth."

It is a simple law that governs man's life 'Do or die'. No man can pass his days in peace and prosperity by dreaming golden dreams. There are many men who while away their time in thinking. They never strive to realize their vision. What is all their thought worth? Sophocles says, "Heaven never helps the man who will not act". The habit of aimless contemplation takes us nowhere. Worse than that, it kills all healthy desire for action. It is a kind of vice that saps one's will. The man who broods over life seldom enjoys the wholesome pleasures of life. To him life is either a mockery or a tragedy. In his attempt at penetrating to the centre of human life, he misses the very drama and joy of human existence. Action, on the other hand, is the law of human existence. The idleness of the body not only weakens our system, it also corrupts or soul. The man who does not act upon his dreams, losses self-confidence, strength of will and hope. he becomes a parasite or a misfit.

Our loftiest thoughts are of little avail if they are not translated into action. One may be a man of lofty and original thoughts, but one's thoughts would be so many words or sounds unless they can be carried into practice. Again, there is no better test of truth or untruth, or the significance of a ‘thought’, than its translation into action for the action of men are the best interpreters of their thoughts.

Today those who act are too impatient, and those who think are too self-centered and dreamy, let us transform our dreams now by uniting contemplation with action and knowledge. Transform your dreams now by contemplating with action and knowledge! In the harmony of the trio, the dreams, knowledge and action lies the perfection of character.....contemplation will strengthen action and build knowledge and then it sends us back to contemplation and thus our inner and outer life will be harmoniously developed.” ….Anthony Sunny Kunneth
