“When we talk about values, I think of love, fairness, kindness, generosity and tolerance occupying the top of my list. That’s something I value and hold in high esteem rather than things like going to church, attaining higher education, voting for Bush, being loyal to Jesus, praying. These are not values. These are mere camouflage
to our pride to show off to the society we are living in. Of course, I condemn not these superfluous acts of men. But do we really need these? These are best if left, to the discerning minds to judge and not right for me to comment upon.

Of the values that I mentioned earlier, love and generosity go hand in hand and tolerance, kindness and fairness compliments both of them. Love and generosity cease to exist without tolerance, kindness and fairness. Generosity is one of the greatest gifts you can bestow upon another. If someone is in need, lend them a helping hand. Do not wait for a ‘thank you’. True kindness lies within the act of giving without the expectation of something in return.

It is a selfless act. A selfless action with love for others if given, receives supreme love from the hearts of countless in returns. You won't always get back exactly what you wanted or expected, but when you give what you can you almost always receive what you need from others. The one, who is truly generous, gives from the goodness of his heart and does not expect some type of repayment or gain. It is true love in the most sublime form. When you give of yourself to help other people, you cannot help but be abundantly be rewarded and that’s is the Maxim of our beloved Universe we live in.

One of the most powerful and courageous decisions you can make in your life is to do something for someone who does not have the power or resources to return the favor like forgiving someone for their mistakes. Of course, it is a simple gesture but has a priceless tag attached that can hold you high in the eyes of Our Creator. Let forgiveness be a 'gift' that is not dependent on someone else's behavior, but on your generous heart. Learn how to bless others around you without reservation, be generous with the kind of your blessings to others. After all, a simple loving gesture is sufficient and that generous gesture may reach and heal a wound. Most people aren't remembered for what they've done for themselves, they're remembered for what they've done for others and the world.

Let everything you do be out of pure love; and out of love for God. Then whatever you do will become effortless. It is a recurring cycle of happiness and satisfaction, for what you make happen for others, God will make happen for you. Every act of kindness and genuine generosity you show to others will be rewarded by God. BE GENUINELY GOOD in your act! What truly defines each one of us is not what we take in but what we give out. A truly generous person forgets what he gives and remembers what he receives. Therefore - Learn, Earn, and Return. These are the three important phases of life. Make all you can, save all you can, give all you can.

Dedicate some of your life to others. Your dedication will not be a sacrifice. It will be an exhilarating experience. An experience, which warms your very soul with utmost satisfaction and joy. Plant the seeds of love and generosity in your hearts. Let them grow into trees of service and shower the sweet fruit of happiness to others in times of need. Share your happiness with all around you. That is the proper way to celebrate your life on earth divinely.

To me real big people are, above everything else, courteous, considerate and generous - not just towards some people, in some circumstances - but to everyone all the time. The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving. Joy can be real only if people look upon their life as a service, and have a definite object in life outside themselves and their personal happiness.

One would naturally give generous alms if one had the eyes to see the beauty of a cupped receiving hand. Alas! Many of us close the doors of our heart to such divine beauty of giving. It is of prime importance to remember that we make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give to others without any expectation. True generosity is in fact the quality of helping others without expecting anything in return. Generosity is nothing but selfless help for someone’s betterment. It is touted as charity, which is a virtue and is the motto of many registered charities and foundations. Generosity involves spending your time, labour or money to help out someone else, all being different forms of gesture, so as to help him or her out.

Rarely, do we find generous people in our society that can provide selfless help to the needy. I firmly believe that our helping others should have ribbons wrapped around like the gift one give on birthday and not strings attached to it. There is no moral exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. The wise man does not lay up his own treasures. The more he gives to others, the more rewards he get from the heaven above in one form or the other.

The universe forgives us for our happiness and our successes only if we generously consent to share them with others happily. And never forget, no matter how overwhelming life's challenges and problems seem to be, that one generous act of ours can make a lot of difference to others in the world. In fact, it is always because of one person that all the changes that matter in the world come about.

Never forget that you are one of a kind. Never ever forget that if there weren't any need for you in all your uniqueness to be on this earth, you wouldn't be here in the first place. So be that one person."
